this calendar converts to a book. Lawrence Hohman has produced yet another beautifully illustrated product—Annual Birds in Color is a 2008 calendar, and a book, all in one! Unlike most calendars, Annual Birds in Color does not lose its usefulness once you've reached the end of the year. In this sixteen-page first edition, the top portion of this product contains Hohman's splendid illustrations of the "Twelve Birds of the Year in Full Color"--one on each page--presented like a book. A short description about each bird is also provided, and each bird illustrated has a connection to the corresponding month which it represents. Below each illustration is a monthly calendar for the corresponding image with enough space to write a short note. Once you have completed using the calendar, that portion can easily be removed by cutting or tearing along the perforations, thus leaving a keepsake book measuring 7 x 7". This unique product is a new concept conceived by the author. Similar to his popular series, Alphabetical Birds in Color, Alphabetical Beasts in Color, and Alphabetical Botanicals in Color, this calendar/book will surely bring years of lasting pleasure. about the author Lawrence (Larry) Hohman was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He honed his artistic talent for drawing at The Cleveland Institute of Art. After graduation, he went to work as an art studio designer, then as an advertising agency art director, and finally as the owner of a commercial art studio. He owned the studio for twenty-six years, until retiring in 1996. From buying land on which he built a small log cabin from the trees on the property, to enjoying golf and gardening, Hohman lives his true love of nature and the outdoors. Larry and his wife, Evelyn, live in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. The couple has four grown daughters.
